The Master in Video Game Development in Madrid is aimed at people interested in learning, from scratch, how to design and program a video game, as well as learning the 3D modeling techniques necessary to develop it, with no prior knowledge being necessary for proper use of it.
Certifications in This Diploma
- At school level: Unity Certifier User Official Center, Autodesk Authorized Training Center and Autodesk Official Certification Center
- At the student level: students will be able to obtain official "Unity Certified User (UCU)" and "Autodesk Certified User (ACU)" certifications to demonstrate to the gaming industry their skills and knowledge in creating interactive content using this type of technology. . Students will be able to take the official tests to obtain the “Unity Certified User: Artist” and “Autodesk Certified User certification in Maya” certification, included in the price of their registration.
The objective is to internalize all the processes involved in the creation of video games, as well as the acquisition of technical knowledge necessary to develop any interactive project you have in mind.
The academic program of this master's degree is composed of three blocks:
- In the Video Game Art and Design module we will learn the artistic fundamentals, pixel art, digital illustration techniques, storyboard creation, concept art, animation principles, rigging and creation of characters, scenarios and assets to implement in our projects.... We will also learn to export in the appropriate sizes and formats so that our designs work well in the main video game engines.
- In the 3D Animation and Modeling Techniques for Video Games module we will include the third dimension in our creations, learning advanced 3D modeling, rigging and animation techniques to bring our characters and scenarios to life, learning to mount all our material in different video game engines, all thanks to the use of tools such as Autodesk Maya, ZBrush or Substance Painter.
- In order to give life and logic to our project, we are going to learn to program from scratch with the Video Game Programming with Unity and Unreal module. We will learn the fundamentals inherent in any programming language with this online video game design master's degree, so that at the end of the module we will be able to start creating game mechanics, functionality and logic within Unity and Unreal.
Upon completion of the master's degree, students will have a triple profile within the video game sector, being able to take on, within this industry, functions or roles ranging from the conception of the video game to its development in 3D, including its programming.
Master's Degree Diploma Available for These Studies (60 ECTS)
CEI offers the possibility of teaching, in our facilities in Madrid, Seville or Valencia or online, these same studies approved by the Distance University of Madrid, which has been projected within the European Higher Education Area, granting ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits.
Students who have a bachelor's degree or university degree will obtain a university diploma of "Continuing Education" (60 ECTS). Those students who have not completed university studies at this level will obtain a university diploma of "Own Degree", without the possibility of obtaining or validating ECTS credits.

This master's degree is made up of three modules, blocks or subjects. Students will take the two more practical modules in-person and the more theoretical module, Video Game Art and Design, online (asynchronously).
