Accounting Administrators oversee a company’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. In larger organizations, Accounting Administrators, work alongside an Accountant to perform these duties.

Typically, Accounting Administrators perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments. Often they assist with purchasing, maintain Inventory, and run payroll.

Additionally, many Accounting Administrators also assist with primary HR duties like new hire documents, compliance, and temporary disability insurance and workers compensation filings, making them an indispensable part of an organization’s fiscal fitness.

In general, individuals who work in accounting generate data for management to make better financial decisions. Business owners, shareholders, investors, and many others depend on these financial reports to update its performance and overall success.
