By participating in this program, you will be able to:

  • Apply safety industry standards in order to ensure a safe industrial work environment
  • Analyze individual hydraulic components to explain the operation of a hydraulic circuit schematic
  • Size appropriate hydraulic components and select using a manufacturer's catalog
  • Select and assemble fittings and hoses to build a functioning hydraulic system
  • Explain the basic concepts of hydraulic valve control in order to select appropriate components for an application
  • Differentiate between open and closed-loop hydraulic circuits
  • Calculate static and dynamic external forces to select appropriate hydraulic components
  • Describe intensification, compression, and decompression processes in order to avoid related negative impacts on a hydraulic system operation
  • Troubleshoot a hydraulic system to ensure proper functioning.

Upon successful completion of a Micro-credential, you will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement, and Industry digital badges where applicable
