Introduction
Gain an understanding for the cultural, historical, social and political forces that shape storytelling and artistry in film in the Cinema Studies Minor at Capilano University.
In this 18-credit minor, you'll choose from courses offered in CapU's School of Motion Picture Arts, as well as across the faculties of Fine and Applied Arts, Business and Professional Studies and Arts and Sciences.
You'll gain a breadth of expertise, with available courses including Canadian cinema, queer cinema, applied cultural criticism, philosophy through film and more.
Additionally, you'll pick up a broader insight into the influences of notable filmmakers, how their styles were distinctive and significant and how film shapes our understanding of the world of the past and today.
