Introduction

The programmes offers 3 curricula (2 entirely taught in Italian and 1 taught in English):

  • Chemistry (taught in Italian)
  • Industrial Chemistry (taught in Italian)
  • Biomolecular Chemistry (taught in English)

The course is divided into teaching in the field of physical, inorganic, organic, analytical chemistry and biochemistry of advanced content, with the aim of ensuring the student mastery of methods and scientific content in the field of chemistry, with particular regard to the aspect of higher education and scientific research. The teaching is strongly focused on the development of knowledge and skills regarding green and sustainable chemistry and the development of processes with low environmental impact in a zero-waste perspective of circular economy.

With the aim of ‘learning by doing’, the degree programme includes many theoretical and practical lessons, which involve numerous laboratory exercises. In addition, at the end of the degree programme, students will carry out an experimental research thesis, which may also be carried out abroad or in companies and which will enable them to learn advanced research methodologies and to learn how to design, conduct and interpret scientific experiments in various fields.
