MA in Engineering Physics

The course is characterised by three innovative paths:

• Quantum Materials and Technology: is designed to address the challenges of the second quantum revolution and focuses on quantum computation, quantum communications, in particular quantum optics, and the study of the physics of advanced materials, such as superconductors;
• Quantitative Biology: aims to train engineers and physicists with strong skills in biology through teaching in bioinformatics, computational biomolecular design, biomolecular engineering, neuroimaging, and bioelectronics. Within this path, students can access a joint path in Physics of the Brain offered in collaboration with SISSA – Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati (International School for Advanced Studies) in Trieste ;
• Physics of Finance and Economics focuses instead on the study of complexity sciences applied to economics and finance, with a particular focus on sustainability.
