Introduction

Master of Management in International Tourism Management

A great and success stories always start from great intention and commitment. The course starts from an initiative of Burapha University (Thailand) and Université Montpellier 2 (France) to bridge of knowledge divide between Eastern and Western World, particularly in Tourism. This intention leads to the development of a dual degree program at master degree levels in International Tourism, called Master of Management in International Tourism Management (M.M. in ITM).

In 2011, the International internship system, seminar and conference has been agreed and developed between these parties--both tourism Worlds can be explored and learn from success and failure, based on hand-on experiences of academic and industry experts.

A recent agreement between Burapha University and Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Trisakti University (Indonesia) becomes the third pillar of the course, where Bali experiences will be transferred to students. Since then, the tourism technological transfer has been much easier between European and Asian continents, based on the leading tourism knowledge from most successful tourism case studies of France, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Thus, learning and researching in International Tourism Management has become much easier but solid, tangible, and practical.

Degree: Student can choose from three options;

  1. Master of International Tourism Management (granted by Burapha University)
  2. Master of International Tourism Management and International Business Management (granted by Burapha University and Université Montpellier 2)
  3. Master of International Tourism Management (granted by both Burapha University and SekolahTinggiPariwisataTrisakti University)

Duration of Study: 2 years (both thesis and non-thesis based)
Number of credit: 42 Credits (120 European Credit Standard)
Quality of the course: Complied with Thailand and France Higher-Education Quality Standard
Admission period: January to September
