Lifestyle medicine is a medical specialty that uses therapeutic lifestyle interventions as a primary modality to treat chronic conditions and their causes. It incorporates six evidence-based pillars: a whole-food, plant-predominant eating pattern, physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance of risky substances, and positive social connections. Flourishing is a broad construct that involves experiences of thriving and abundance in the physical, psychological, and spiritual domains of wellness. This track provides students with a strong foundation in health education and psychology while also incorporating anatomy and physiology, physical education, nutrition, chemistry, and religious studies.
