Key Summary
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the tourism sector has experienced rapid growth, creating an increasing demand for highly qualified tourism professionals. Whether in hotel and hospitality management, event planning, travel organization, tourism governance, destination management, or industry advocacy, the sector relies on professionals who can adapt flexibly and respond effectively to changing demands and trends.
The Tourism Management MSc provides in-depth knowledge of the tourism industry, visitor economy processes, strategies, and sustainability that equips our graduates with the knowledge and skills to face these challenges. We prepare students to engage in independent planning, decision-making, and management tasks in tourism-related sectors, readying them to manage development projects in relevant economic fields and organizations, as well as to lead businesses and institutions within the tourism industry.
Successful graduates are able to take on organizational and managerial roles in tourism enterprises, local governments, ministries, tourism agencies, destination management organizations, tourism marketing companies, and non-profit organizations.
If you are looking to play an active role in shaping the future of tourism, then join the Tourism Management MSc and prepare yourself for a leadership role in this dynamic field.
Key Features
Our MSc takes an innovative approach to the thesis and final examination system, moving away from traditional methods. During the final two terms, we prepare students to solve industry-specific tasks through professional project-based programs, and your thesis and final examination will be structured around these practical assignments. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in research projects related to key topics, whether as part of your Student Research Societies work or as a foundation for PhD studies.
In 2024, the program retained its position as market leader in terms of applications, first-choice applicants, and admissions, and upon successful completion, you will receive a degree certifying your qualification as an Economist in Tourism Management.
The program is taught at our city center campus and is also offered full-time in English.
The program offers general business programs to provide the broader economic perspective expected of qualified economists, such as strategic and financial management. We will then build on this with specialized tourism management programs (such as the system of tourism, tourism trends, sustainable development and tourism planning, international hotel, and hospitality management, and marketing management in tourism) that will provide comprehensive knowledge of the interconnections within the tourism industry, visitor economy processes, strategies, and sustainability issues. Additionally, across the program, you will gain in-depth knowledge of management methods and tools in the fields of hotel and hospitality management, event organization, and destination management.
