Introduction
This master's degree is based on the contemporary psychology of Alfred Adler (Adlerian psychology). Adlerian psychology focuses on the meaning of life and the feeling of community as pillars of mental health. The main objective of this master's degree is the training of Adlerian counseling professionals with the ability to intervene in people who consult for emotional problems that cause discomfort or psychological suffering (personal crises, conflicts, breakups, losses, difficulties of family coexistence, work stress, life transitions, etc.).

Curriculum
An International permanent training in Adlerian Counseling program consists of 60 credits.
- Module 1: Adlerian Theory (16 ECTS)
- Module 2: Counseling skills (5 ECTS)
- Module 3: Adlerian Psychology in its Context (4 ECTS)
- Module 4: Intervention Practices I (10 ECTS)
- Module 5: Intervention Practices II (10 ECTS)
- Module 6: Supervision (6 ECTS)
- Module 7: TFM Master's Final Thesis (9 ECTS)
Modules 1, 2, 3, 6, and 7 are done in an asynchronous virtual format, and practice modules 4 and 5 are done in a synchronous virtual format on weekends (Spanish version); in the English version, modules 4 and 5 are done in a synchronous virtual format and person.
Master's final thesis
The Master's Final Thesis is mandatory and intended to optimize the graduate's professional profile; focuses on the necessary skills and resources that guarantee the exercise of the activity of counseling people with psychological problems through the completion of an academic work-study or essay - on a topic of the student's free choice. The student must demonstrate mastery of the theory and practice of Alfred Adler's Individual Psychology through its application to a specific topic.

This program is supported by the Adler University of Chicago (USA) and the International Committee of Adlerian Summer Schools and Institutes (ICASSI). There is an agreement with the Spanish Association of Adlerian Psychology (AEPA), the Latin American Association of Adlerian Psychology (ALAPA), and the Galileo University of Guatemala.
The master's degree lasts two years and consists of 60 ECTS:
- Spanish version: 40 ECTS in an asynchronous virtual way and 20 ECTS (practice workshops) in a virtual synchronous way that takes place during 20 weekends throughout the two years on Saturday and Sunday from 4.00 PM to 8.30 PM (time from Madrid). See the published calendar
- English version: 40 ECTS in virtual asynchronous mode, 16 ECTS (practice workshops) in virtual synchronous mode that take place during 16 Sunday and 18 Wednesday evenings over the two years, in addition to 2 face-to-face weekends at the FPCEE Barcelona; see published calendar.
Program delivery
Students can choose between the English program, which begins in 2024, and the Spanish program, which begins in 2025.
Spanish version: 40 ECTS in virtual asynchronous mode and 20 ECTS in virtual synchronous mode through videoconferences (20 weekends throughout the two years on Saturday and Sunday from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Madrid time).
English version: 40 ECTS in virtual asynchronous mode, 16 ECTS in virtual synchronous mode through videoconferences (16 Sundays of 6 hours and 18 Wednesday evenings of 2 hours), and 4 ECTS face-to-face in two 14-hour weekends in Barcelona.
