Birmingham Academy Pte Ltd, RBN200306960N, was incorporated on 23rd July 2003. Proudly meeting the rigorous Singapore Statutory Requirements, it is officially registered with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).
In alignment with its educational commitment, the academy has been registered with the Ministry of Education as a private school under the Singapore Private Education Act since July 2003. Demonstrating its dedication to quality, Birmingham Academy successfully transitioned to the Enhanced Registration Framework (ERF) in September 2010, achieving Private Education Institution (PEI) status with the SkillsFuture Singapore Agency (SSG).

Our campus is located within 5 minutes' walking distance from Bugis MRT Station as well as Bras Basah MRT station. It’s a very convenient place, close to eateries, national libraries, shopping malls and hotels. We have 8 classrooms and 2 lecture rooms. All classrooms are fully furnished with air-conditioning and teaching aids, such as an Interactive SMART Board and projectors with sound systems.

Admission Procedure
Step 1: Prospective Students
Make enquiry to school.
Step 2: Prospective Students will be given pre-course counselling and receive information according to the School’s Pre-course Counselling Checklist, including but not limited to:
- About Birmingham Academy
- Course Counselling, Course Details, and Admission Requirements
- Standard Student Contract, Fee Protection Scheme
- Relevant Singapore laws, especially those relating to ICA and Ministry of Manpower (MOM), etc.
- School policies and procedures
- Attendance requirements
Step 3: Interested Students
Apply to the school and fill up the Course Application Form and Pre-course Counselling Checklist and provide all the required documents.
Step 4: School
Confirm that the Student meets the minimum entry requirement of the course
Step 5: Interested Students
Make a Payment for the Course Application Fee.
Step 6: School
- Issue Letter of Conditional Acceptance
- Process Student’s Pass Application
Step 7: Interested Student
- Submit Student’s Pass application
- Pay the ICA Student’s Pass processing fee
Step 8: Upon IPA of the Student’s Pass Application, School
Inform student
Step 9: Upon IPA of the Student’s Pass Application, Confirmed student
- Sign Advisory Notes, Student Contracts, and other relevant forms with the School
- Pay course fees directly to the school
- Students abide by ICA rules and collect student passes

In September 2010, Birmingham Academy successfully migrated and registered, via the Enhanced Registration Framework (ERF), as a Private Education Institution (PEI) with SkillsFuture Singapore Agency (SSG).
Through Birmingham’s intense improvement and refining effort, currently:
- It is one of the schools that have the Student Fee Protection Scheme (FPS), which partners with at least one of the SSG-appointed FPS providers.
- It is one of the establishment schools which have obtained the EduTrust Certification.
- It is one of the established schools which provide opportunities for Singaporeans and International Students to achieve academic excellence through our preparatory courses, language courses, certificate courses, diploma courses and other higher learning courses.
- It is one of the providers of Government School Preparatory programs. Over the years, we have successfully placed a number of our students into government schools in Singapore.
- It is managed by a group of professionals with highly respected academic backgrounds and areas of specialization.
Accommodation
Students who need help in sourcing accommodation in Singapore can approach our help to recommend or introduce an accommodation that suits their preferences.

The estimated monthly rental rate ranges from $500 to $1,500 per month. Students must also bear in mind to set aside expenses for food, transport, entertainment and miscellaneous.
