Key Summary

About: The M.Sc. in Environmental Physics and Solar Energy covers the principles of physics and their applications in solar energy systems. The program integrates theoretical knowledge with practical skills, focusing on renewable energy technologies and environmental sustainability. Students will engage in projects and research that explore the interaction between physical processes and the environment, preparing them for modern challenges in energy management.
Career Outcomes: Graduates can pursue careers in various fields, including renewable energy consulting, environmental policy, solar energy technology development, and academic research. They may work for government agencies, non-profit organizations, or private sector companies focused on energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.

Introduction

This unique MSc program is designed for students to gain a deep and diverse understanding and capability in fields related to the environment and natural resources, while also developing their mental flexibility, enabling them to employ methods, terms, and concepts from different areas of research and move between such areas.

You'll be trained in classical physics areas that are relevant to environmental studies (nonlinear dynamics, continuum mechanics, fluid flow and heat and material transfer, light-matter interaction, semiconductor physics), applied mathematics (asymptotic methods, statistical methods, numerical methods), and other physical sciences-related fields (surface chemistry, optoelectronic properties of materials, optics).

The M.Sc. program offers a thesis (research) track.
