Trimester one
You'll study two core modules:
- Legal Systems, Research and Skills
- Commercial Law
and choose two optional modules from:
- Obligations and Dispute Resolution
- Employment Law
- Strategic Management
- Governance and Risk Management
- Strategic Brand Management
- Digital Marketing
- Advanced Academic and Business Skills
Trimester two
You'll study two core modules:
- Business Law and Practice
- Leading Change and Innovation
and choose two optional modules from:
- The Professional Lawyer
- Cyberlaw
- Entertainment, Media, and Intellectual Property Law
- Managing People
- Sustainability
- Corporate Financial Management
Trimester three
You'll choose to take either the Legal Clinic or Legal Research Project module.
Program Outcome
What you'll learn
Overview
You'll study four core modules, four optional modules and select one law project option. This learning structure will enhance your academic and organisational skills, develop practical subject specific skills and knowledge and cover a good range of options across the disciplines of law, business and management. The course offers you the opportunity to work with external partners to support clients with legal problems, or to undertake a supervised research project on a legal area of your choice.
There is a natural focus on business organisations and legal transactions and the course seeks to develop professionality, effective collaboration, and precise communication. It also seeks to prepare you to initiate, lead and respond to change in various organisational contexts.
How will I be assessed?
You'll be assessed using a range of methods including exams, tests, practical exercises, presentations, case studies, reports, essays and portfolio and dissertation writing.
