Admissions
Curriculum
Core Requirements
During the first and second years, students learn about the basic fields of the law - contracts, criminal law, public law, torts, and more.
In the third year, students can choose a few focused study tracks, which include law and technology, business law, criminal law, public law, legal impact, and private law, among others.
Program Credits
In addition to the credits needed for your Law studies, the following are required to complete your degree:
10 Credits in Judaic Studies*
3 Credits in General Studies**
*Judaic Studies courses are academic courses in a variety of fields within the Faculty of Jewish Studies and are offered through The School of Basic Jewish Studies. All Jewish students are required to take some Judaic Studies courses.
Students who are not Jewish and would like to convert these 10 credits to General Studies courses should contact their program coordinator.
**General Studies courses are any course offered in the university (more than 6,000) that is not related to your major (or double major) and is not Judaic Studies. Students with a minimum level 4 Hebrew are permitted to take courses in Hebrew, should they choose.
Program Outcome
This degree will provide you with tools to develop your analytical thinking. You will learn to think like a lawyer and to express yourself in writing and in litigation or negotiation. The program includes theoretical courses and research studies, hands-on and practical experience through workshops and legal clinics.
Join our highly sought-after, three-and-a-half-year program in a leading Law Faculty and gain the knowledge and experience that will enable you to work in any field of law you choose.
Note
- Our graduates are assisted in finding in-house placement for the internship period required by the Israeli Bar.
- In the UK, California* and New York, LLB graduates from Israel are eligible to take Bar exams. In other common-law legal systems, they may be required to take further complementary education such as studying for a local LLM (Master of Laws). (*In California, a legal attorney certificate is also required to take the Bar exam.)
Career Opportunities
Our graduates are welcomed and integrated into top law firms and corporates in Israel and abroad, and serve in many public offices as legal attorneys and policy makers, among other positions.
