The program aims to train competent graduates with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in religious studies, possessing modern methods of religious science, capable of applying the acquired scientific knowledge in practical reality.

Learning Outcome:

Possess an understanding of the stages of development and formation of religious studies; main theoretical and methodological approaches to religious issues;

Possess a methodological attitude for understanding the specifics of the aesthetic approach to religious experience, preparing students for the perception of works of religious art and analysis of the system of cult symbols and ideals;

understand the psychological characteristics of religious experience;

be able to classify religions following their moral and ethical values;

possess the skills of analyzing modern sociological theories of religion;

Practically characterize modern religious movements and trends;

To navigate the main ideas of world religions, including points of controversy and continuity in the development of religious and philosophical problems;

Analyze religious texts in the original language, apply knowledge of foreign languages ​​to analyze sacred texts, their grammatical and semiotic features.
