Introduction
The purpose of the program is to train a new generation of leaders capable of comprehensively solving problems in epidemiology.
Learning outcomes:
Be able to describe the key features of the epidemiology of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in the population for which it is responsible;
Effectively uses vital statistics and health indicators to raise awareness and collect evidence on the health of the population, including representatives of risk groups and socially vulnerable people,
Contribute to or lead assessment activities in community health services, thereby ensuring that these assessments reflect the biological, social, economic, cultural, political, physical determinants of health.
Surveillance of risks and threats across a range of health determinants and influences to identify intervention needs;
Assess the performance of local public health services and interventions using a robust methodology based on recognized assessment models in epidemiological situations, taking into account knowledge of international standards;
To be able to prepare preventive programs, organize their implementation and be able to assess their effectiveness;
Apply the principles of secondary prevention and screening programs;
Apply International Health Regulations, which allows coordination and development of strategic partnerships and resources in critical sectors and research areas for health security and infection control.
