Key Summary
The Christian Ministries major is designed for students who desire to minister in the local church or church-related ministries. The Christian Ministries' major core includes the philosophical and theological bases of ministry and also focuses on the practical aspects of putting theory into practice in the real world.
In addition to the core courses, students in the Christian ministries major may choose from a variety of minors, including business, behavioral health, or music. A Christian ministries major without a minor may take a variety of professional courses to fulfill the required program of study.
What will I study?
- Knowledge: The student will demonstrate a working knowledge of the historical, literary, and theological content of the Bible so that he or she can competently articulate a biblical worldview.
- Character: The student will learn to encounter God through the Scriptures so that the student’s soul is shaped by its teaching.
- Action: Students will be empowered, not only with the ability to know and be changed by the Scriptures, but also to bring them to bear in the church and in the world to teach and change others.
