- Other qualifications equivalent to a Masters degree that is accepted by the APU Senate

Open and Distance Learning (ODL)
- The ODL (Open & Distance Learning) Ph.D. programs are designed to address the theoretical and practical knowledge skills and artifacts used in the development of relevant research skills.
- ODL allows students to learn anytime, anywhere at their own pace - this power of freedom has ignited more interest & excitement in learning.
- Students will reinforce their independent learning skills, as well as demonstrate their ability to produce a professional document.
- The supervision and monitoring will be conducted via Microsoft Teams and Moodle.
- There is an option to undertake additional research workshops organized jointly by Graduate School of Technology and Graduate School of Business • Students must participate in online research seminars/colloquiums/conferences. • For Ph.D. in Computing/ Technology, students are required to publish 1 journal article (indexed) as a requirement for the Ph.D. award.
- Assessment of the fundamental knowledge is carried out through assessment of the students’ performance based on oral and written assessment (viva voce and dissertation).
- Distance Learning Ph.D. students in APU have to undertake TWO (2) components:

- Dissertation
