This program combines the study of both international and European-specific legal systems, making it particularly attractive for students who wish to develop a global perspective on law and governance and is primarily aimed at those interested in a career in international institutions or specifically in the structures and institutions of the European Union.
The program takes an interdisciplinary approach, blending the study of law with courses in politics, economics, and human rights. This allows students to not only gain an in-depth understanding of legal principles but also to see how these principles operate in broader societal and political contexts.
Courses are taught by a diverse and highly-qualified faculty, drawn from across Europe and beyond, who bring a wealth of practical experience and academic expertise. Additionally, the small class sizes and interactive teaching methods enable students to develop close mentoring relationships with their professors.
The program also includes an internship component, providing students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in legal settings. Such experiences not only help students apply their classroom knowledge to real-world problems but also significantly improve their employability upon graduation.

To graduate from the International and European Legal Studies program, a student must accumulate 90 US/180 ECTS credits over the course of three years, with studies culminating in an oral thesis defense and oral state examination. Courses are offered in both Czech and English and ordered within a modular structure.
