Master of Urban Design

The Master of Urban Design at AnantU is a two-year full-time multidisciplinary programme offered to all graduates especially from design, architecture, planning, civil engineering, environmental engineering, and social sciences backgrounds. Poised to prepare urban solutionaries, the programme is designed at the interface of architecture, planning and strategic management.

The programme seeks to nurture young Solutionaries for smart cities who want to drive the change with their revolutionary thinking and solution-oriented mindset. It endows students with the necessary technical skills and sensitizes them to emerging challenges. Facilitating dialogues on urban challenges and their solutions, the programme, prepares the students’ to inquire into some of the most complex urban issues, which can no longer be addressed by individual disciplines but require a multidisciplinary approach.

The students, in addition, to be taught fundamentals of sectors like heritage development, housing, utilities, transportation, environment and the like, are also trained for specific skills of mapping, future trend analysis, geographic information system, project formulation, project finance, negotiation etc. The comprehensive knowledge from a design idea to implementation enables the students to effectively implement a real project in association with an implementing / funding agency.
