Key Summary
The Editing program is designed around the aesthetic, technical, and collaborative aspects of post-production with the primary focus on storytelling. Fellows develop the skills to be editors, assistant editors and post-production producers while collaborating with other team members.
The Sony Digital Arts Center is an Avid based state-of-the-art post-production facility.
During the first year, editors work on six narrative digital projects — with instruction including not only picture and visual effects editing but also the aesthetics of sound design — as they create and mix sound with Pro Tools audio workstations.
Second-year editing Fellows collaborate on two film or high-definition digital projects, taking them through a complete post-production process, replicating a studio or independent production and developing professional relationships with outside vendors.
