Campus Features

Ottawa

Located in the nation’s capital, our main Campus offers programs in everything from accounting and nursing to computing and welding. Surrounded by Canada’s largest high-tech community, our well-equipped Campus —one of the largest in Ontario — is minutes from parks, museums, and the world-famous Rideau Canal.

Pembroke

Situated on the Ottawa River, Pembroke is a vibrant community known as “the heart of the Ottawa Valley.” The waterfront Campus provides programs in diverse fields — carpentry, outdoor adventure, forestry, and police foundations, to name a few. You can enjoy numerous outdoor activities as part of your program or a daily experience.

Perth

Our Campus in the historic town of Perth with its many heritage buildings offers the intimacy of small classes in such specialized programs as Business Agriculture and Heritage Carpentry, among others. You’ll also appreciate a welcoming community with a lively arts scene and plenty of outdoor and recreational activities.

AC Online

With more than 15 years of experience delivering online programs and courses, AC Online leads the way in online education. We offer full post-secondary programs as well as professional development courses. You can also take a course for personal interest. Our many options let you explore a large collection of topics studying anytime, anywhere.

Sports & Fitness

Whether you’re interested in competitive sports or just want to stay fit, you’ll find many opportunities to stay active and have fun at Algonquin.

Thunder Varsity Sports

Algonquin is a proud member of both the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) and the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA). Our Varsity teams compete in 6 sports at the provincial level within the OCAA. In addition, our Men’s and Women’s teams in Basketball, Soccer, and Volleyball can qualify to compete for a “National Championship” as members of the CCAA.

Campus Recreational Sports are organized for students within a fair-play environment. The Athletic Department offers a wide variety of leagues, tournaments, and off-campus activities throughout the academic year, at both the Woodroffe and Pembroke campuses.

The Fitness Zone is a state-of-the-art fitness center, located on the Woodroffe Campus, dedicated to enhancing your quality of life through physical fitness. Certified Personal Trainers are available to help you reach your fitness goals, and push you to the next level. Memberships are available to students, Algonquin College employees, and the community.

Students at the Pembroke Campus are eligible for discounted memberships at local community fitness centers.

Student Residence

Residence offers everything you need for a smooth transition to college life. You’ll find new friends, events, recreation facilities, and social activities. Our residence in Ottawa has 525 two-bedroom suites that can accommodate 1,050 students. Each suite features two separate, fully furnished bedrooms, a shared bathroom, and a shared kitchenette.     Algonquin College Student Information System (ACSIS)

    ACSIS represents an online version of the Registrar’s Office. You will log in to ACSIS using the student number provided in your welcome email. Within ACSIS you can update your personal information, retrieve your network ID and password, order transcripts, download tax receipts, view your final grades, and more.

    Campus Life & Facilities

    The Students’ Association (SA) is an elected group of individuals who represent student interests at Algonquin. The SA is responsible for:

    • Athletic activities
    • Campus events
    • Special-interest clubs and associations
    • Managing The Observatory, one of the lounges on the Woodroffe Campus, and The Landing student lounge on the Pembroke Campus.

    Student Affairs and Orientation strives to represent all facets of the post-secondary experience, including:
