Bachelor of Science in Accounting Technology (BSAcct)
The Bachelor of Science in Accounting Technology (BSAccT) program is designed to develop management accountants who will focus on improving the internal control and total quality improvement system of business organizations. Since information technology has become one of the primary tools for improving business efficiency, the course of study provides a working knowledge of business automation, which includes elements of office productivity, database and network management, and system security. The program provides entry points to the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry because the courses offered correspond to the expertise necessary to perform business and accounting tasks that are now being outsourced from more-developed to less-developed countries. When lumped together, these courses constitute distinct aggrupations for which Skills Competency Certificates can be issued after hurdling the required tests. These courses are an inherent part of the 4-year Bachelor of Science in Accounting Technology (BSAccT) curriculum. The skills certification level 1, level 2, and level 3 below can be considered as the non-degree programs ladderized to the 4-year degree program in accounting technology.
