Key Summary
Taking care of oral health is a fundamental part of a person’s overall well-being. Maintaining good dental health and hygiene not only has an impact on oral function but also on quality of life and overall health. Oral diseases are linked to other health problems, and preventing them is key to a healthier life.
Currently, Dentistry does not focus solely on solving oral problems, but rather encompasses a comprehensive and preventive approach, helping to reduce complications and improving the quality of life of patients. This approach involves not only clinical skills, but also a deep understanding of the patient’s social, cultural and psychological context.
ADEMA University School is committed to training future professionals with an innovative approach, focused on academic excellence and practical learning. Through a rigorous and up-to-date educational program, dental students will acquire the necessary competencies to lead oral health care, both in clinical and public health settings.
Why study Dentistry at ADEMA?
Clinical practice
Clinical practice is an essential pillar in the training of future dental professionals, as it allows them to develop practical skills and face real situations in a clinical setting.
ADEMA has an Integrated Dental Clinic, where students have the opportunity to work alongside dentists and health professionals specialising in oral health. This clinic offers prevention, diagnosis and treatment services for various oral pathologies, such as caries, periodontal diseases, malocclusions and other dental conditions, thus improving the oral health of patients.
From the first year, our students actively participate in clinical practices, through the Clinical Dental Training (CDT) program. This Service-Learning model provides them with a learning environment in which they can apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom and develop specific competencies in a real context, contributing to the welfare of society while becoming highly trained professionals.
PBL: Project-Based Learning
Through various collaborative projects, students acquire practical skills by putting theoretical knowledge to the test, preparing them for real-life situations. Some of the projects:
- Oral Health Observatory
- Service learning
- Research-based learning
- Digitization and haptic simulation projects
- International Dental Week
