Introduction

Focusing on the fusion of art and technology, a degree in graphic design and advertising opens the door to endless visual communication possibilities. You will become an expert at combining text and visuals as you turn your most creative ideas into designs for print or the web.

Our faculty is composed of award-winning artists and designers who are leaders in their various disciplines and media and who actively produce and exhibit their creative work. As artists and educators, they believe art has a unique power to change our world and make it a more beautiful, generous, rich, and open place.

Based in the Department of Art and Design, and in collaboration with the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, this degree blends art and design training with preparation in advertising and mass communication principles. Successful graduates become competitive candidates for positions such as creative director, production designer, and much more.
