The Human-Computer Interaction and Design (HCID) master's programme (ICT Innovation, EIT Digital Master School) is an interdisciplinary, two-year (120 ECTS) double-degree programme. Studies are carried out at two universities in two different countries and lead to two Master of Science degrees. The programme structure comprises a Major (60 ECTS), an Innovation & Entrepreneurship minor (30 ECTS), and a Master’s thesis (30 ECTS). The first year typically includes foundation courses such as Introduction to Human-Computer Interaction, User-Centred Design Methods, Programming of Interactive Systems, Evaluation Techniques, and a Multidisciplinary Design Project. The second year is devoted to specialisation (Aalto offers Cross-Device Interaction) and the Master's thesis. Language of instruction: English. Admissions, tuition, and scholarship arrangements are handled through the EIT Digital Master School (students are eligible for scholarships and liable for tuition fees according to EIT Digital's scheme; students do not pay tuition to Aalto University and are not eligible for Aalto scholarships).
