Over two immersive years, you’ll learn to design, record, produce, and promote professional music and sound projects, from albums and live sessions to film soundtracks and festival productions.

At 3iS, learning happens through action. The MRMP program is built around hands-on experience, collaborative projects, and real-world challenges.
- In your first year, you’ll join team-based productions, blending technical excellence with artistic exploration through specialized modules in recording, mixing, acoustics, beatmaking, and music marketing.
- In your second year, you’ll take the lead: manage projects from concept to completion, guide interdisciplinary teams across film, performing arts, and audiovisual programs, and build a complete artistic and technical portfolio that reflects your creative vision.

Do you want to know more about the project?
The MRMP program lies at the heart of 3iS, mainly for its approach: "learning by the project".
In other words, throughout the 2 years you will produce your projects together with recognized professionals as well as the support of other English-speaking 3iS programs.
What does it consists of?
- EP of a music group, track by track: sound recording, editing, mixing, and mastering
- Adding a soundtrack, mixing and recording a music group live
- Producing a title using computer-assisted music with a view to distribution on a music catalogue for post-production
- Live show soundtrack and adding a soundtrack managed by Ableton Live
- Artistic direction and composer support: computer-assisted music orchestration, traditional sound recording, editing, and mixing
- Short film music: multichannel mixing
- Sound recording with a boom, editing, and mixing of voices and backgrounds for a short film: collaboration with MA Filmmaking students
Upon completion of the 2-year program:
- School Diploma – Master’s Level (Bac+5)
- 120 ECTS credits
To be eligible, students must meet the following admission requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferably in Fine Arts, although other fields will be considered for admission)
- Be at least 18 years old
- Demonstrate proficiency in English (minimum B2 level) to be able to follow the program

TOEIC: 785 Duolingo: 95 Cambridge English Qualifications: 160
Students can also prove proficiency by submitting a certificate from their previous institution stating that their previous degree was taught entirely in English.
PTE (level equivalent to B2) is also accepted.
Upon completion of the Master in Recording & Music Production, graduates are fully equipped to enter the professional world of music, sound, and audiovisual production. The program prepares students for a wide range of roles within the creative industries, combining artistic sensitivity with advanced technical expertise.

The Master in Recording and Music Production is open to musicians and technicians holding a Bachelor’s degree, eager to refine their technical skills and develop their unique production style. Over two intensive and inspiring years, this 100% English program combines specialized courses, recording, mixing, acoustics, beatmaking, and marketing, with ambitious collaborative projects, including EP production, film scoring, and live recordings.

Year 1 : Foundations & Sound Production
The first year focuses on building a solid theoretical and practical foundation in sound and music, through intensive project-based learning. Courses cover essential topics such as sound theory, acoustics, music theory, and electricity, along with artistic exploration through art and culture modules.
On the practical side, you’ll master key software like Logic Pro and Pro Tools, and develop skills in composition, beatmaking, recording, mixing, and mastering.
Throughout the year, you’ll work on major projects such as creating a remix, producing a two-track EP, and composing soundtracks for student films.
This first year is all about interdisciplinary collaboration, teamwork, and mastering the core principles of sound production.
Year 2 – Expertise & Sound Leadership
In the second year, you deepen your technical and artistic skills while taking on leadership roles as project managers. You’ll explore advanced topics such as film scoring, orchestral composition, music business, and marketing, while perfecting your practical expertise in analog and multichannel mixing, modular synthesis, and sound design for video games.
Key projects include producing a four-track EP, creating a sound design installation or performance, and composing original scores for films.
Through close collaboration with other departments and industry professionals, you’ll refine both your artistic vision and technical mastery, supported by personalized mentoring to help you shape and strengthen your professional project.
