3iS Paris spans over 30,000 m² of professional-grade facilities designed to support ambitious film projects from pre-production through final delivery. The school's substantial investment in equipment means students work with the same tools used by industry professionals.
.
The campus features three screening rooms, including a 300-seat cinema with 5.1 surround sound for premiering student films. Five fully equipped film sets provide diverse shooting environments, including a meticulously designed 140 m² Haussmann apartment that captures authentic Parisian architecture. A 110 m² studio with green screen offers flexibility for everything from intimate scenes to VFX-heavy productions.
.
Through the internal equipment rental house, students access high-end cameras, lighting, and grip equipment at no additional cost for their projects. Post-production facilities include 70 editing and color correction suites, two projection booths, and comprehensive sound facilities with recording studios and mixing systems—everything needed to deliver broadcast-quality work.
.
Beyond equipment, 3iS connects students to over 3,500 partner companies in the film and creative industries, turning coursework into real professional opportunities.
The school provides 200 fully-furnished studio apartments in its Paris residence, complete with WiFi, laundry, gym, coworking spaces, monthly events, and 24/7 security—allowing students to focus entirely on their craft and building their professional portfolios.

Year 1 : Immersion in the World of Sound
This International Bachelor combines theory and practice across all areas of sound. Students take part in projects designed to showcase both their skills and creativity. From producing music, creating podcasts and radio shows, sound design for concerts and events, to composing soundtracks for films, games, or animation, students are guided at every stage by industry experts.
This dynamic program is interdisciplinary, offering a creative environment that immerses students in real-world professional experiences.
Year 2 : Sound Creations & Artistic Synergies
The second year offers an exciting journey where each student develops projects such as creating a brand’s audio identity, producing a television show, running a live stream from the recording studio, or designing sound for a video game. Inspired by sound masters like Ren Klyce and Rick Rubin, students learn to craft unforgettable atmospheres and transform emotions into melodies.
Through collaboration with the Film & Audiovisual and Video Game programs at 3iS, each project becomes a true work of art, preparing students to excel in the sound industry.
Year 3 : Expertise & Professionalization
The third year (16 months) immerses students in the professional world through a versatile program that combines studies, productions, and hands-on experience. Students participate in specialized workshops aligned with their career goals, including audio integration and programming, composition and arrangement for media, broadcast engineering, and spatial audio design.
A major capstone project crowns the year, whether a short film, an album recording, or a video game soundtrack. This crucial year equips students to become key players in the sound industry, with solid experience and a professional network that prepares them to shine on the international stage.
Each semester, students who successfully complete the program receive 30 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits, totaling 180 credits over three years.
This credit standard enables students to apply for student aid and funding. We can issue the necessary documents for you to provide to the relevant organizations.
Upon graduation, students obtain the "Diplôme d'Études Supérieures en Techniques de l'Image et du Son" (Graduate Degree in Image and Sound Techniques), equivalent to a professional bachelor's degree with a specialized focus on the performing arts.

The audio and music production industries offer diverse and dynamic pathways for creative professionals. Our graduates have gone on to build successful careers across the full spectrum of sound work, from recording studios to concert venues, film sets to broadcast facilities.
Studio Recording and Music Production
Many of our alumni work as sound engineers in recording studios, production houses, and independent facilities. These roles require strong technical foundations, critical listening skills, and the ability to collaborate with artists and producers to capture high-quality recordings across multiple genres and formats.
Live Sound and Event Production
Being based in Paris places our students at the heart of Europe's live music scene. The city hosts major concerts, festivals, fashion shows, corporate events, and cultural performances throughout the year. Our graduates work as live sound engineers and audio technicians for venues, touring productions, and event companies, gaining hands-on experience mixing sound for audiences in real-time environments.
Film, Television, and Broadcast Audio
Graduates find work as production sound mixers, sound recordists, and sound editors for film and television productions. Whether capturing dialogue on set, recording location sound for documentaries, or working in post-production, these professionals ensure that every project meets broadcast-quality audio standards.
Technical Support and Audio Operations
Our students pursue careers as audio technicians across studios, venues, broadcast facilities, and production companies. These roles involve equipment setup and maintenance, signal routing, troubleshooting, and providing technical support during recording sessions, live events, and broadcasts.
Emerging Opportunities
New technologies and platforms continue to create opportunities in podcast production, streaming content, gaming audio, and immersive media. Beyond traditional sound engineering, our graduates also find success in audiovisual installations, corporate production, and multimedia projects that demand both technical proficiency and creative problem-solving.
Thank you for your interest in joining our program.
At the moment, we do not offer scholarships. However, you can apply for a grant or financial aid from the French government. We invite students to look at websites like Campus France or the French Ministry of Higher Education to find scholarships and grants.
