3iS International Institute of Image & Sound

Founded in 1988 by film professionals, 3iS has grown into Europe's largest audiovisual campus and one of the world's best film schools. With 2,500 students from 50+ nationalities across five campuses in Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, Nantes, and Avignon, we span 30,000 m² of creative space. As members of CILECT and Erasmus+, and recognized by France's Ministry of Higher Education, RNCP, and Campus France, 3iS delivers internationally recognized education with hands-on learning led by industry professionals—closely connected to real industry needs.

Our Paris campus—home to our international programs—features 18,000 m² of industry-grade equipment: a 300-seat screening room, five film sets including a customizable Haussmann apartment, 110 m² studios with fully industry-standard gear, recording studios, Fab Labs with 3D printers, and 70 editing suites. From directing, screenwriting, and cinematography to production, editing, animation, game design, sound engineering, music, and performing arts—we have the tools to make it happen.

Life at 3iS is what you make of it. The Student Association runs orientation weekends, 3iS Fest, themed parties, and concerts, while student clubs cover film, music, photography, dance, and sports. Behind the scenes, you've got over 30,000 m² of professional-grade facilities—film studios, cinema sets, editing suites, recording and mixing rooms, Fab Labs with 3D printers and laser cutters, and computer labs loaded with industry software. It's everything you need to work like a professional while you're still learning, where side projects become portfolios and classmates become collaborators.

3iS - The International Institute of Image and Sound holds official recognition and accreditations validating the quality of its programs in film, audiovisual, sound, animation, video games, and performing arts.

3iS offers state-endorsed diplomas including the DESTIS (Bac+3 level) and RNCP-certified titles at Levels 5 and 6 in specializations like Camera Operator, Film Editor, Sound Operator, and Production Manager. The school also holds QUALIOPI certification for its continuing education programs.
