Introduction

The Doctoral School of Applied Informatics and Applied Mathematics started its activities. in 2009. Its aim is to train researchers – mainly with an engineering background – who are familiar with the methods and techniques of informatics, computer science, and applied mathematics, and can solve real industrial research and development tasks using multi-disciplinary knowledge, communication skills, and teamwork experience. The Doctoral School pays a special emphasis on the cyber-physical systems, robotics, computational engineering and modeling, and the applied mathematics that supports.
