Taking a transdisciplinary approach, the master's course utilises a range of perspectives from diverse fields and integrates them with industry experiences, real-world projects and self-directed study, equipping graduates with an understanding of the potential of analytics to transform practice. The course is delivered in a range of modes, including contemporary online and face-to-face learning experiences in UTS's leading-edge facilities.

The Graduate Certificate in Data Science and Innovation is designed for students to gain data science skills in a fast-paced mode. It has a flexible and comprehensive course structure with a group of fundamental and advanced subjects. This allows people with different backgrounds and learning objectives to take the course either as a fast-track pathway into the data science industry, or to develop specialised skills to further enhance their data science career. Taking a transdisciplinary approach, the course integrates fundamental theories with industry experiences, real-world projects and self-directed study, equipping graduates with an understanding of the potential of analytics to transform practice. The course is delivered in a range of modes, including contemporary online and face-to-face learning experiences in UTS's leading-edge facilities. Upon successful completion of the graduate certificate, students can also choose to progress to the Graduate Diploma in Data Science and Innovation (C60124) or Master of Data Science and Innovation (C04372), a world-leading program of study in analytics and data science.

This course consists of five different types of learning activities delivered through a blended learning environment, combining the best of face-to face and online learning. It is one of the courses in the Master of Creative Intelligence and Strategic Innovation set.

This postgraduate research degree provides an opportunity for graduates to develop their research skills, to deepen their knowledge in an selected area of study and to undertake some original, independent research. Students are supported throughout the degree by a supervisor(s) and panel of academic and industry collaborators. The degree provides students with the experience and expert knowledge needed to confidently approach PhD studies or a research career in a chosen field.

The course curriculum and subjects are co- designed and developed by UTS academic data experts and industry partners, and regularly reviewed and updated to keep up with the current market needs and latest data science trends. During the course study, students have abundant opportunities working on real world data sets/projects.
