The study cycle (SC) focuses in students’ education in the IEM field,complementing with other engineering sciences and management. Furthermore, the SC also seeks to offer graduates a background in emergent areas, through the optional curricular units (CU) offered. It is also intended that students develop problem-solving competencies in real contexts, as well as scientific research competencies through the attendance to the Dissertation/Project/Internship CU. In this CU students have the opportunity to immerse in a real context of work, facing the challenges that characterise the functions of an IEM professional.
