The Department of Industrial Management Engineering effectively studies, reasonably designs, and improves complicated systems such as humans, machines, information, and networks producing excellent things and service. Using optimization, information, and integration methods in all business areas of the industrial system including production, manufacture, communication, and service, it intends, through a quantitative model based on mathematics, statistics, and computer engineering, to solve problems in manufacturing or production systems as well as decision-making problems in business.

Accordingly, the Graduate School of Industrial Security and Safety aims to cultivate high-quality experts in industrial security and disaster safety through systematic and in-depth practical training programs. Anyone with a bachelor's degree can apply regardless of major, and after completion of the course, a master's degree in industrial security (MIS) or a master's degree in disaster safety (MDS) is awarded.
