Students pursuing the program in the Humanities, Philosophy, and Arts will enhance their skills in critical thinking and both oral and written communication. The Humanities, Philosophy, and Arts program prepares students for further study in the arts, history, humanities, literature, philosophy, communication studies, and/or world languages at a four-year baccalaureate institution and provides an excellent foundation for students interested in administration, communications, law, public service, and teaching.

The General Studies: Humanities major offers an opportunity to customize a bachelor’s degree program to help students meet their academic goals and prepare for a variety of professions or for graduate school. Students work closely with an advisor to develop an approved bachelor’s degree program that includes depth and breadth in at least four disciplines in the Humanities: Art, Communication Arts, English, History, Humanities, Music, Nez Perce Language, Philosophy, Spanish, and Theatre. This degree can be completed online, face-to-face, or a combination of the two.

The humanities prelaw program takes an interdisciplinary approach to prepare students who want to graduate with an outstanding academic transcript and the kind of experience that meets law school entrance requirements.
