6 Human Rights Degree Programs in Mexico

The objective of our program is to train experts with solid knowledge and skills in the knowledge of Human Rights and the processes for the effective application of the premises that make possible their fulfillment, for the benefit of individuals, legal entities and the authorities themselves against of others who are victims of abuse of their fundamental rights; that they are capable of providing solutions to problems of interpretation, application and defense of fundamental rights in favor of society; in an agile and transparent manner, facilitating the balance between the offender and the offended with ethics, responsibility and full respect for the block of constitutionality and conventionality that emerged in Mexico as of 2011.

To train Teachers of excellence in the fields of Human Rights, Amparo, and Constitutional Law, with a deep knowledge of legal areas; endowed with a high critical and innovative sense, who recognize the existence of values ​​and ethics as guiding principles of human life, respectful of the rights of their peers and fully qualified to act as protagonists of historical-legal changes, based on a solid conscience and social commitment, for the achievement of the aims and principles of the Law.

General objective: To train high-quality human resources trained for the study, prevention, research or reflection, and intervention and conflict resolution in different areas of society with institutional responsibility of governmental and non-governmental organizations, national and international civil associations related to human rights.

The master's degree aims to be a program aimed at legal operators, authorities, and civil society linked to the protection of human rights. The program seeks to provide a series of theoretical and methodological tools on the use of human rights, both national and international, in legal argumentation and in the construction of the content of rights. The duration of the program is two semesters and one summer. To conclude the program, a thesis will be presented which will have to be defended in front of a jury, the thesis is developed throughout the master's degree. It is a double degree program, a master's degree will be obtained from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and one by the University of Genoa in Italy, with the possibility of access to the Doctorate offered by the University of Genoa. The program will have both national and international professors, mainly from ITAM, the University of Genoa but also from the other universities that collaborate in it. In addition to a series of national and international associate professors and exhibitors.

To train high-level Professionals, with the knowledge to develop skills, professional competencies, and social responsibility, thus generating a competent and competitive graduate profile. In addition, he will be a busy and concerned person for his society, with a humanistic vision and vocation for service, with a high sense of responsibility with his natural and social environment, with professional ethics and personal integrity.
