About the scholarship program
On Wednesday, Embraer opened applications for its new βcareer acceleration initiative for engineers.β This new Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering program is operated in partnership with the Instituto TecnolΓ³gico de AeronΓ‘utica (ITA) in SΓ£o JosΓ© dos Campos, Brazil. Successful applicants will receive a monthly scholarship of R$5,000 (approximately 925 USD) to support their studies during the 18-month program. Students will also be eligible for various benefits like insurance and meal allowances. Applications will be accepted until 7 September 2025, and classes start in February 2026.
Who can apply?
The Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering is open to graduates holding engineering degrees in twenty-seven different engineering fields, including civil engineering, materials engineering, robotics engineering, and transportation engineering. Graduates must have completed their degrees between 2023 and 2025 and will need to demonstrate advanced English proficiency. The program utilizes blended learning, with on-campus and partially remote classes, and students will need to reside in Brazil.
Embraer and ITA in partnership
This scholarship represents a continued partnership between Embraer and ITA. In 2021, the company and school celebrated the twentieth anniversary of the Embraer Engineering Specialization Program (PEE), a professional masterβs degree program designed to βaccelerate the learning of recent graduates in various areas of engineering.β PEE combines academic courses taught by ITA professors and hands-on coursework in multidisciplinary teams at Embraer. The new Master in Aeronautical Engineering is the latest iteration of the program.
And, in 2024, ITA launched the Company Mentoring Program aimed at allowing undergraduate engineering students to learn from ITA graduates working at Embraer. The program pairs third- to fifth-year engineering students with professionals in different areas of Embraerβs operations.
Whatβs next?
The aerospace engineering sector is one of the fastest-growing and rapidly evolving engineering fields, and companies around the world need talented graduates with future-focused skills. Programs like the Embraer/ITA partnership demonstrate that companies are willing to invest in talent to secure their positions as leaders in the aerospace industry.
According to Andreza Alberto, VP of People at Embraer, βdeveloping people is a strategic investment and hallmark of Embraerβs culture.β And, speaking about the Embraer/ITA Company Mentoring Program last year, Chief Engineer Henrique Langenegger said that βpartnerships of this type reflect positive results for students, for the company that receives them, and for society.β
