Girls on Campus and educations.com have partnered to offer an exciting new co-branded scholarship for students in the social sciences! The Social Science Excellence Scholarship aims to support students pursuing degrees in the social sciences. Applications are now open for students starting their studies in Spring or Fall of 2027. About the scholarship

The new co-branded Social Science Excellence Scholarship is designed to support ambitious and community-focused students who want to make a positive impact with their degrees.

The scholarship is open to students from all backgrounds and identities who are starting an undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate degree in a social science in 2027. To be eligible for the scholarship, you must:

  • Apply or have applied to study a social science degree listed on educations.com
  • The program must be outside your country of residence
  • Hold a relevant high school or university degree
  • Apply in English

The scholarship, worth $1,500, will be awarded to one candidate in Fall 2027. Applications opened on October 3, 2025, and will close on April 30, 2026, at 12:00 CET. Finalists will be contacted in May 2026, and the winner will be announced in June 2026.

Girls on Campus is a US-based student-led initiative that works to make higher education a “warm and inclusive environment for all students.” The initiative aims to empower students, “especially those who identify as women or come from historically underrepresented backgrounds,” through their higher education journey.

Girls on Campus offers scholarships, free resources for financial aid and career development, mentorship, and other higher education-related services. Students can also become members or participate in discussions and other outreach activities that embody the organization's core values: empowerment, inclusivity, and solidarity.
