The International Master’s Program of Biomedical Sciences (IMPBS) offers comprehensive, diverse, and extensive courses to prepare students for highly competitive careers in education, industry, and research. Students are expected to spend their two years in a sequence of required and elective courses that cover the principles and techniques in cellular as well as molecular biology.

The College of Medicine at the China Medical University (CMU) places a strong emphasis on postgraduate research training at the master's and doctoral levels. At its core, the Graduate Institute of Biomedical Sciences is host to faculty members coming from diverse research backgrounds, including: biochemistry and cell biology, neuroscience, microbiology and immunology, oncology, and clinical research.

The department of Sports Medicine was established in August 2003. The Kaohsiung Medical University has made a substantial commitment to being the leading Sports & Exercise Medicine educator in Taiwan. The course aims to provide students with a comprehensive and contemporary curriculum and is designed to merge medical principles and sciences to facilitate physical performance in sports. Since 2008, the department has featured a new target for future development – “health promotion” with a modern concept of sports & exercise medicine, which emphasizes custom exercises for each individual. Our course offers a full-time four-year Bachelor's degree. The curriculum focuses not only on learning the basics of medical and sports sciences but also on health care management. The basic science of sports medicine is emphasized over the first two years, such as Human Physiology, Anatomy of the Human Body, Health Management, Kinesiology, Exercise Nutrition, and First-Aid. During the final two years, the course provides excellent opportunities in practical training which can be used as a foundation to further students with an aim to either obtain professional certifications e.g. "fitness leader" and "athletic trainer", or future research work. The University has worked closely with professional sports clubs, health institutes, and hospitals, and is responsible for providing a better medical service to southern Taiwan. The course has an important role in merging the various medical disciplines to create a first-class teaching, research, and clinical environment for health promotion in Taiwan.

The school possesses the biggest nursing department and the only department of midwifery. We cultivate all levels of outstanding nurses in southern Taiwan. The students are recruited by all the major hospitals before graduating. This school has the mission to increase nursing qualities and promote the national health welfare.

Nursing college originally from the department of Nursing was established in 1968. The colleges in our university were re-organized and Nursing college was established in 2018. This college includes five departments, department of Nursing, department of Long Term Care and Management, department of Health Care Administration, department of Acupressure Technology and department of Information Management. The common goals in all departments are: medical care, health service and social responsibility.

In view of the serious shortage of clinical psychologists in the country, especially in Central Taiwan, our school planned to establish the Department of Psychology when it was restructured into a university. This department was founded in the 1991 academic year. At that time, the department was named the Department of Psychology (Clinical Psychology Group). The teaching objective was: "In order to equip students with knowledge of basic psychology and clinical and counseling psychology, and apply these The ability of knowledge."
