Nazarbayev University School of Medicine (NUSOM) was established to improve the quality of medical education in the Republic of Kazakhstan and to contribute to the transformation of the health care system required to meet the challenges of the health care reform of the country. It will offer the Republic’s first U.S.-style curriculum, taught in English by a diverse faculty of clinicians and biomedical scientists recruited from around the globe.

The Master’s program in Food Biotechnology combines a Master’s program at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakhstan, and Master’s program at ISA Lille, France. It creates opportunities to gain more international knowledge and experience in food science, bioprocesses, and technologies of food manufacture.

The Master program in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation is a two-year degree that will equip the graduates with theoretical as well as hands-on knowledge in the said field. The program’s focus on research will help the graduates to develop analytical skills, promoting excellence as well as innovation in healthcare practice. The long-term goal of this initiative is to promote the evidence-based practice of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in Kazakhstan.

A specialist in experimental psychology works in psychological centres, private companies, public and non-profit organizations, conducts personal practical activities, etc.

Chair of the "Pedagogy and Psychology" trains bachelors, masters of pedagogical and psychological sciences and doctors Ph.D. in the specialty "Pedagogy and Psychology" (5B010300, 6M010300, 6D010300). The scientific and pedagogical potential of the chair is represented by 10 doctors, professors, and 9 candidates of sciences, associate professors, leading scientists in the field of pedagogy and psychology, the owners of the various government grants, and national and international awards.

The goal of the program is to train specialists in industrial and environmental safety, who can solve socially essential tasks in life safety and environmental protection, professionally competently prevent emergencies at work, timely carrying out preventive measures, be sociable, organized, to have a high civic responsibility.

MPP program is aimed at students who want a rigorous training in public affairs which will prepare them for jobs in regional and international public, state-affiliated and NGOs organizations. NASPAA and EAPAA fully accredited.

Starting in 2017 GSPP launched its first doctorate-level degree – Ph.D. in Public Policy (a 4-year program).

The main goal of the educational program is the development of doctoral students in the issues of modern diagnostic research, veterinary and sanitary measures, preventing the introduction of especially dangerous and exotic diseases from abroad.
