IUGS students are typically mid-career professionals who completed post-baccalaureate coursework. Students who need additional coursework to fulfill their requirements will be provided the opportunity to take the course(s) at another accredited institution or through independent study at IUGS.

Prospective Students seeking to enter into the Program directly will be required to have the MCAT (Medical College Admission Test), A Bachelor's degree in the Physical and Biological Sciences with a minimum grade point average of 3.0, with pre-requisite courses including an entire year with laboratory work in each of general biology, general chemistry, and general physics; one semester with laboratory work in organic chemistry.
