The one-year Human Resources Management Ontario College Graduate Certificate program prepares you to be a human resources management professional. This program offers you both applied and theoretical lessons focusing on building human resources management graduate-level knowledge and skills needed to attract, select, and retain the best organizational talent. In addition, you learn the foundational knowledge required to act as a human resource management strategic business partner in an organization. The Accommodation and Human Rights Management (AHRM) Program is an Ontario College graduate certificate. The program prepares graduates to work in the fields of Accommodation, Human Rights, Disability Management, Return to Work, Advocacy or to continue their academic careers in a variety of fields including Social Science, Law or Human Resources. The courses focus on topics such as Human Rights, Mediation and Alternate Dispute Resolution, Disability Management, and Advocacy. The final course, capstone, is a project-based assignment as an which challenges a real-world scenario in an organization or as an advocate for an individual.

This certificate consists of a series of four graduate-level courses designed to provide graduates with information about current industry practices, as well as leadership and management techniques in analyzing, developing, and directing quality human resources in the workplace.

This focused program helps you connect the core functions of HR to overall business strategy through foundational HR courses covering compensation systems, talent management and staffing, developing learning organizations, labor relations and more. The program curriculum is designed and led in an interactive online classroom by some of the top researchers in their field, including many Broad College of Business faculty who teach in the MBA in Human Resource Management concentration. All five of these five-week online courses (9 credits total) are also included in MSU's 100% online Master of Science in Management, Strategy and Leadership program, allowing you to apply the course credits toward a master's degree (8 graduate certificate credits can be applied to the MS-MSL degree).
