The general objective of our IMVM-IUEM is to provide an excellent, integrated, and professionalizing higher education in Veterinary Medicine, always articulated with the One Health perspective, ensuring the appropriate training in the major areas of veterinary activities, including Clinic, Public Health, Animal Production and Technological Processing, Sanitary Inspection and Health Support at the interface of Animal Production, Quality, Environmental and Sanitary Control, Teaching and Research in Veterinary Sciences.

The Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) programme aims to educate future leaders in veterinary medicine who are equipped to advance animal health and welfare. This programme ensures that students acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to become successful veterinarians anywhere in the world.

The pre-veterinary program at Becker College has an academically rigorous science-based curriculum designed to meet the requirements for admission to most veterinary schools.

The Blinn College District Veterinary Technology Program is a two-year, competitive-entry program designed to prepare students to become fully credentialed licensed veterinary technicians (LVTs).

Students who are interested in going to veterinary school typically major in biology, chemistry or biochemistry. These majors include most of the required courses for entrance into veterinary programs. However, other degrees can also prepare students for health professions; thus students are encouraged to major in the field where they excel and should consult the pre-health professions advisor about course work.

This certificate program is designed to help students transfer into a Bachelor of Animal Science or Zoology program at Michigan State University, in preparation for Michigan State University’s Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program.

The Master of Science with options to Agronomics, Veterinary, is a program of 169 credits with a flexible modality, tutoring with a focus on collaborative research and focused on the interests of the student, who upon admission opts for one of the following two areas of knowledge : Agronomic Sciences or Veterinary Sciences.
