This Foundation programme will give you the academic knowledge and practical skills in the fields of Mathematics, Statistics and Programming that are necessary to pursue Computer Science at degree level.

The Foundation Degree in Information Technology and Study Skills provides an academic and professional foundation to students of information technology and associated subjects, together with the study skills essential for succeeding in higher education. Students will also receive career advice.

We recognise that there are many routes to success at the degree level. Our Computing and Mathematics Foundation Year specifically caters for those who lack the traditional entry qualifications to join the first year of a science degree. You are likely to be someone with either non-computing/maths-based qualifications, someone who has tried computing/maths-based subjects but has yet to realise their potential or you are a mature student, with skills and experience from employment, who wants to return to education.

The goal of the Computer Science MSc program is to train Computer Scientist with a professional knowledge-based on solid theoretical background knowledge. The job of a Computer Scientist synthesizes the constructive activity of engineers with the general problem-solving attitude of mathematicians while participating in teams of large-scale projects. Students of the Foundation Year learn the methodologies as well as the programming languages and tools used in software development.

OPIT’s Foundation program equips students with essential knowledge in digital business, computer science, mathematics, writing, communication, and computer literacy. Combining guided learning and independent study, the program prepares students to meet EQF Level 4 standards and provides a solid starting point for bachelor’s studies in IT and related fields.

This programme is designed to provide students with a pathway into an undergraduate degree in Engineering or Computing at the Dubai Campus. It is specifically designed as a foundation programme that will help students to bridge the gap between their school qualifications and the demands of a university degree. Students who complete the programme successfully will be able to progress directly into the first year of their chosen degree programme. The programme will help students to develop their subject knowledge whilst providing a firm foundation in IT, research and writing skills, academic English, and assessment and examination techniques.

The Foundation Course is a study program, taught in English and primarily aimed at candidates who do not possess the minimum schooling requirements outlined in current legislation for enrolment at Italian universities. Attendance of the Foundation Course is mandatory and students must accumulate all the credits provided by the course in order to obtain the final qualification. The modules available within the Foundation Course are taught in English and a Foundation Course in Science prepares students interested in studying a degree program in Medicine, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Maths, Natural Sciences, Pharmacy, and Physics.

This APU Foundation in Computing (ODL) is specifically designed to provide: The Foundation in Computing (ODL)  allows young students the opportunity to gain a solid Pre-University qualification from the comforts of their home or country. Open Distance Learning (ODL) as practiced at APU provides a high-quality and flexible learning experience for students utilising state-of-the-art technological innovations & pioneering teaching and learning practices.

This program is only One Semester in duration. Do you want to study Data Science, IT, or Programming? This carefully designed foundation program is a pre-requisite for the BSc in Applied Data Science at Modul University Vienna or other data science study programs across Europe. In addition, our program can be used by students who may not have experienced an introduction into data science or programming, despite feeling a connection to the subject. Topics covered in the semester program include Business Communication, Mathematics, Calculus, and Basics in Computer Programming.

This Foundation Degree will help you develop your ability to analyse, program and project manage software solutions. The Applied Cyber Security Foundation Degree program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to combat modern cyber adversarial. The program is unique in that it focuses not only on traditional cyber security principles but also incorporates Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques to enhance cyber security strategies and understand, analyse and develop threat intelligence and threat modelling strategies. Students will learn to analyse data and develop algorithms to detect, prevent, and respond to cyber-attacks.

Inspired by the International Game Developers Association curriculum framework, informed by student feedback and in response to industry requirements, this Foundation Degree covers the design and production of electronic games. In much the same way the industry requires collaborative working across specialist sectors, you will work with students from other disciplines, such as business and marketing, in order to promote a product in the marketplace. At the end of this course, you will have designed and produced a game product for release into the marketplace.
