Students who take coursework offered by the International Studies department develop abilities to critically analyze and understand global issues and cultural identities. International Studies offers college transfer courses in the humanities and social sciences.

This course will survey the major issues and controversies facing artists and arts organizations today, including how to treat intellectual property, the role of art in developing cities, branding, the influence of digital technology on art, the history and impact of celebrity, censorship, diversity, and transgression in/on the arts.

Through a rigorous examination of court cases and ethical controversies, students will learn to anticipate, recognize, and properly address ethical and legal concerns in journalism.
