25 Computer Science and IT Management Foundation Year Programs

This program is only One Semester in duration. Do you want to study Data Science, IT, or Programming? This carefully designed foundation program is a pre-requisite for the BSc in Applied Data Science at Modul University Vienna or other data science study programs across Europe. In addition, our program can be used by students who may not have experienced an introduction into data science or programming, despite feeling a connection to the subject. Topics covered in the semester program include Business Communication, Mathematics, Calculus, and Basics in Computer Programming.

The Foundation in Computer Science Online at Goldsmiths, University of London is a pre-bachelor’s programme that provides students with a solid foundation in both theoretical and practical computational concepts. As well as learning about and using current tools, languages and approaches in Computing and Computer Science, students will learn about underlying concepts to flexibly embrace new tools, languages and approaches as they arise, future-proofing their learning.

This programme is designed to provide students with a pathway into an undergraduate degree in Engineering or Computing at the Dubai Campus. It is specifically designed as a foundation programme that will help students to bridge the gap between their school qualifications and the demands of a university degree. Students who complete the programme successfully will be able to progress directly into the first year of their chosen degree programme. The Foundation Course is a study program, taught in English and primarily aimed at candidates who do not possess the minimum schooling requirements outlined in current legislation for enrolment at Italian universities. Attendance of the Foundation Course is mandatory and students must accumulate all the credits provided by the course in order to obtain the final qualification. The modules available within the Foundation Course are taught in English and a Foundation Course in Science prepares students interested in studying a degree program in Medicine, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Maths, Natural Sciences, Pharmacy, and Physics.

The Foundation Year is designed to provide students with the academic knowledge, English language competencies, and study skills needed to progress into degree-level studies. All Foundation Years include an Academic Skills module to give you a solid base in preparation for specialised modules.
