This Foundation programme will give you the academic knowledge and practical skills in the fields of Mathematics, Statistics and Programming that are necessary to pursue Computer Science at degree level.

OPIT’s Foundation program equips students with essential knowledge in digital business, computer science, mathematics, writing, communication, and computer literacy. Combining guided learning and independent study, the program prepares students to meet EQF Level 4 standards and provides a solid starting point for bachelor’s studies in IT and related fields.

The goal of the Computer Science MSc program is to train Computer Scientist with a professional knowledge-based on solid theoretical background knowledge. The job of a Computer Scientist synthesizes the constructive activity of engineers with the general problem-solving attitude of mathematicians while participating in teams of large-scale projects. Students of the Foundation Year learn the methodologies as well as the programming languages and tools used in software development.

We recognise that there are many routes to success at the degree level. Our Computing and Mathematics Foundation Year specifically caters for those who lack the traditional entry qualifications to join the first year of a science degree. You are likely to be someone with either non-computing/maths-based qualifications, someone who has tried computing/maths-based subjects but has yet to realise their potential or you are a mature student, with skills and experience from employment, who wants to return to education.

A qualification designed with our university partners to prepare you for first year entry to undergraduate degree courses. Studying in small classes with NCUK in your home country before you start your degree will give you the confidence you need before you start your degree course.

The Foundation Course is a study program, taught in English and primarily aimed at candidates who do not possess the minimum schooling requirements outlined in current legislation for enrolment at Italian universities. Attendance of the Foundation Course is mandatory and students must accumulate all the credits provided by the course in order to obtain the final qualification. The modules available within the Foundation Course are taught in English and a Foundation Course in Science prepares students interested in studying a degree program in Medicine, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Maths, Natural Sciences, Pharmacy, and Physics.

This programme is designed to provide students with a pathway into an undergraduate degree in Engineering or Computing at the Dubai Campus. It is specifically designed as a foundation programme that will help students to bridge the gap between their school qualifications and the demands of a university degree. Students who complete the programme successfully will be able to progress directly into the first year of their chosen degree programme. The programme will help students to develop their subject knowledge whilst providing a firm foundation in IT, research and writing skills, academic English, and assessment and examination techniques.

The International Foundation Year in Engineering, Computing & Science will prepare you to study one of more than fifty degrees at the University of Huddersfield, in fields such as computer science, most engineering disciplines, forensic science, music technology and pharmaceutical science.

International Foundation Year is designed for students who either do not meet the entry requirements for direct entry (English level, school qualifications, etc.) or would like to gain additional subject or academic skills confidence prior to the start of their degree course. International Foundation in Computer Science provides an introduction to the IT world and guarantees progression onto BSc (Hons) Computer Science or BSc (Hons) Software Engineering (subject to meeting the required criteria).

One of the largest and best established in the country, our School of Computer Science offers software development, artificial intelligence and robotics, networking and security, software engineering, business applications, IT strategy and management. You’ll learn from experts, as many of our highly qualified and supportive teams have experience in applying advanced technology in the real world. Our strong links with business will also give you opportunities to work with industry leaders on placements at companies such as Accenture, Apple, Microsoft or GlaxoSmithKline.

Students can enter at either Year 0 (University Foundation) or Year 1 (First Year Degree), depending on their qualifications. Students are guaranteed progression to the second year of their chosen degree, providing that they meet the progression criteria.

This Level 3 qualification award is a full-time one-year bridging program taking international students from 12 years of high school education and preparing them for their undergraduate entry. All unit content is drawn from the (UK) national program of study for their A-level counterparts and assessed at a Level 3 standard. The assessment is highly controlled whereby NCC Education produces all the assessment and marking schemes, with examinations marked by NCC Education in the UK (and that would include all the science units) whilst assignments are marked by the centre and moderated by NCC Education staff again here in the UK. L3IFDHES is designed for international students who have studied usually in a 12-grade system and who need to complete extra study to meet the UK’s Higher Education entry requirements. The L3IFDHES prepares students linguistically and socio-culturally in areas such as the English language, Computing, Business, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics to enter the first year of a United Kingdom degree course.

This Foundation is taught at our college in Brighton, in a city famous for its creative spirit and vibrant tech scene.
