Accredited by THE-ICE, Australia, the Master of Commerce (Tourism and Hospitality Management) allows students who have completed undergraduate and graduate levels to further their knowledge and develop advanced research skills in the management of the tourism and hospitality industry.

The Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics and the Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical have received accreditation from the Institute of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ). Engineering degrees accredited by IPENZ are recognized as meeting the initial academic requirements for professional engineers.

Offered by the School of Social Sciences, Psychology involves the study of individuals and groups – how we think, act, react and interact. Its application is based on two fundamental principles, namely, the betterment of individual, group and community life and absence of harm.

This program does not follow the usual programme requirements for major and minor disciplines but instead have prescribed sets of courses, across discipline boundaries.

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme consists of 24 courses of which 8 courses are at 100-level, 8 course are at 200-level and 8 courses are at 300-level including 2 x 100-level university courses and 2 x 200-level university courses. Students who enroll in the three-year BA degree programme may take History as a major, a double major, or a minor.

Sociology equips students with unique and solid analytical skills and competencies to benefit their future careers in diverse areas such as social policy, education, criminal justice, gender, public health, urban planning, social welfare, public administration, international relations, management, etc.

The Division of Biology provides biology courses for undergraduate and postgraduate study programmes within the Faculty of Science and Technology. The courses provided by the division strike a balance between traditional studies in biology and modern advances in biological research at levels ranging from molecules to communities.

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme consists of 24 courses, of which 8 courses are at 100-level, 8 courses are at 200-level, and 8 courses are at 300-level, including 2 x 100-level university courses and 2 x 200-level university courses. Students who enroll in the three-year BA degree programme may take Mathematics as a single major, a double major, or a minor.

The Physics Programme offers a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree. The training focuses on the areas of Renewable Energy and Environment, Electronics and Communications, and Pure Physics. Students have a choice to pursue their BSc degree in Physics as a Single Major, Double Major, or Minor. The School also offers graduate courses in many areas of specialization.

The Bachelor of Commerce in Professional Accounting is a prescribed programme and exists for students who are already in the accounting field or have previous work experience in accounting, and wish to pursue their career in a professional accounting firm. This programme consists of 24 courses, of which eight are at 100-level, eight are at 200-level, and eight are at 300-level.

Chemistry is the central science. All aspects of technical development require people with expertise in chemistry. A basic chemical education is required by doctors, dentists, engineers, agriculturalists, foresters, factory managers, etc. Thus, there is a continuing need for chemistry teachers in the region.

The Bachelor of Science is a three-year programme comprising twenty-four courses; of which eight courses are at 100-level, eight courses at 200-level, and eight courses at 300-level. Some of the disciplines permitted as a major or minor for the Bachelor of Science degree are: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geography, Mathematics, and Physics.

The Bachelor of Teaching programme provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to enter the teaching profession as confident and effective teachers ready to meet the educational demands of the 21st century. The programme will encourage and develop students’ research skills and capacity for critical analysis, meeting learning outcomes aligned with the expectations of 21st-century educators.
