The Division of Biology provides biology courses for undergraduate and postgraduate study programmes within the Faculty of Science and Technology. The courses provided by the division strike a balance between traditional studies in biology and modern advances in biological research at levels ranging from molecules to communities.

The Bachelor of Laws (LLB) programme, along with Masters of Laws, Masters of Environmental Law, and PhD, are offered by USP’s School of Law. These programmes specifically focus on the legal systems of the South Pacific region, particularly those of USP's 12 Member Countries: the Cook Islands, Fiji Islands, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tokelau, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.

This program does not follow the usual programme requirements for major and minor disciplines but instead have prescribed sets of courses, across discipline boundaries.

The Engineering Programmes, offered by the School of Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics & Physics (STEMP), provide training to suit the workforce needs of the region, especially for the USP member countries. The two STEMP engineering programmes: Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics, and Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, have received accreditation from the Institute of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ).

The Bachelor of Commerce in Tourism and Hospitality Management degree programme has been designed to meet the demands of employers for the strategic, technological, and managerial skills considered necessary in this exciting and dynamic industry. The programme incorporates the theory and knowledge you gain from a traditional degree program in business administration and tourism studies.

The Masters of Business Administration is accredited by Association of MBA’s (AMBA). This accreditation is an official recognition that USP’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme offered by GSB is of comparable standards to those offered by other premier business schools around the world.

School of Agriculture, Geography, Environment, Ocean and Natural Sciences (SAGEONS) offers the Bachelor of Arts in Marine Management and the Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Management. Along with other programmes, to provide an integrated understanding of the Earth, its biophysical environment, and the people who inhabit it. This is an exciting time for those involved in these fields.

Because of the cross-cutting aspect of climate change and of the specificity of the region, the courses under the PGDip CC, MSc and PhD research thesis cover a broad range of topics, from climate sciences to the social, financial and economic aspects of climate change, traditional knowledge and the integration of climate change and disaster risk management.

The Master of Arts in Governance consists of nine courses. Following successful completion of the Postgraduate Diploma in Governance, students must complete four additional courses: one 400-level course in Governance (must be DG403 if not taken before); PL400 or PL402; plus two elective 400-level courses in Governance or related fields.

Net-centric computing covers a range of sub-specialties including: computer communication network concepts and protocols, multimedia systems, Web standards and technologies, network security, wireless and mobile computing, and distributed systems. Upon graduation, our graduates can expect to find employment opportunities in the private and public sectors where ICT is used.

The Intensive English Programme is designed to empower students to use English socially, for study and for work. A skills-based syllabus is employed where listening, speaking, reading and writing are equally weighed. There are twenty-one hours of classes spread over 10 (ten) weeks to ensure that learners benefit from the total hours allocated per term.

Offered by the School of Education (SOE) under different programmes to meet the current and emerging educational and developmental goals of the Pacific island nations. The school offers programmes in the following disciplines: Early Childhood Education, Special and Inclusive Education, Primary and Secondary Education, Library/Information Studies, Non-Formal Education, Educational Evaluation, Educational Leadership and Change and Tertiary Teaching.

The Doctor of Philosophy programme is offered by the Tourism and Hospitality Management discipline under the School of Business and Management. The programmes under the Tourism and Hospitality Management discipline are fully accredited by the International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education (THE-ICE), Australia.

Computer science (CS) spans the range from theory through programming to cutting-edge development of computing solutions. Computer science offers a foundation that permits graduates to adapt to new technologies and new ideas. A major in Computing Science equips students with essential knowledge and skills to face head-on many challenges in both the IT industry as well as academia.

The Bachelor of Software Engineering (BSE) is intended to produce quality, world-class graduates in this rapidly developing discipline. The degree has been specially designed in response to industry demand to produce graduate software engineers with software systems project capability.

The Master of Arts in Politics/International Affairs programme consists of a thesis OR 2 postgraduate courses plus a Supervised Research Project.
