That’s why you’ll take classes like Introduction to Business Processes and Human Relations for the Salon Business so that you understand how marketing, accounting, and client relations can improve your success. You may even decide to follow other graduates and start your own business! With the mandatory apprenticeship aspect of the diploma, you’ll be able to decide if you want to find employment in hair salons, spas, or other businesses.

Central to the program is the apprenticeship component where you’ll be able to work on real clients. As an apprentice, you’ll receive workplace-based training under the direction of experienced workers who can help you increase your earning power and expand your knowledge of the industry. After completing the apprenticeship and graduating, students can expect to gain employment in hair salons, and spas, and/or start their own business if they possess the entrepreneurial spirit.
