The Master in Science in Environmental Science is an interdisciplinary program housed in the College of Natural and Behavioral Science (NBS). The mission of the program is to prepare the leaders, thinkers and planners necessary to address and solve environmental challenges using interdisciplinary approaches. Because of our location and internship opportunities, the emphasis of the program is on the unique problems of the urban environment. The program is appropriate for students with interests in careers in government, urban or environmental planning, environmental education, research, journalism, law, and academia.

This course trains environmental and naturalistic experts able to understand and face the environmental crisis that characterizes our planet. It provides the fundamental languages of scientific disciplines and the skills to recognize the value of natural heritage through the description of animal and plant biodiversity.

This English-taught master's degree yields professionals capable of intervening with multidisciplinary expertise in the prevention, diagnosis, evaluation, management, and resolution of environmental problems locally, internationally, and globally with a focus on climate change.

Environmental science explores the complexities of the natural environment and our relationship with it. The Environmental Science bachelor’s degree program provides a strong foundation in the sciences and introduces students to the interdisciplinary breadth of the field.
